主要研究展望有二 :
1. 教育發展宗旨：以培養具備專業自信的學生為目標，從資訊科技在工程應用的角度作為接入點，帶領學生在上述專業領中與產業密切合作，使團隊從「做中學」的過程中實現教學相長及產學互利的目標。
2. 學術宗旨：探討資訊科技(IT)與營建管理流程間的相互配合課題，使工程人員能同時考量流程功能需求與資訊科技之應用層面，重新思考如何應用資訊科技提昇管理流程之績效。並從中以未來學的角度探索資訊科技在未來對營建工程的影響及可能的發展情境與策略。
